NOOKS Volleyball Club
Located in Edmonton, Alberta, NOOKS Volleyball Club is a non-profit club dedicated to providing the highest quality club experience. We offer each athlete the opportunity to reach their full potential as a volleyball player and a person as they train in a competitive and fun environment with dedicated, qualified coaches.

Tryout Information
- The one time tryout fee for all age levels is $20 payable at the gym.
- Online registration will close 24 hours prior to the first tryout. Walk-in registrations will be accepted at the gym, but please pre-register online in order to speed up gym entry.
- Tryouts will commence in September for teams that have not pre-signed all of their athletes. A position may be offered by the Nooks coaches to a player(s) at any time during tryouts.
- Athletes are responsible for registering for the proper age group. Age categories can be found on this page, as well as the online registration page.
- NOOKS teams practice in school gyms throughout the city as well as occasional practices in private facilities.
- PLEASE NOTE: Volleyball Alberta stipulates that all participants trying out for club ball will be required to register with Sportlomo. This is a Volleyball Alberta/Volleyball Canada requirement. If you have Sportlomo questions please direct them to Volleyball Alberta. You may be asked for proof of registration when you attend your first tryout session. Please register prior to tryouts.

Respect In Sport Training Program
Together with Volleyball Alberta, The Respect Group has created an online portal for all registered clubs for the 2023 season where they can access and manage the Respect in Sport programs for their coaches, staff, parents and volunteers. When individuals register for one of the Respect in Sport programs, they will be able to select their club or organization from the Association drop-down menu and then will then be automatically linked with that club, as well as with Volleyball Alberta.
U16-18 Team info
- Tryout times and dates will be posted in September for teams that have not pre-signed all athletes
- Teams practice 3x per week from December to May at schools and private gyms throughout Edmonton. We do not currently know what days each team will be training.
- Teams will compete in Volleyball Alberta Premier and Provincial Tournaments in the Competitive Stream, and possibly other local one day tournaments
- Teams will compete at Volleyball Canada Nationals
U13 - U15 Team Info
- Tryout times and dates will be posted once teams have completed re-signing athletes
- U13/14 teams practice 2x per week and U15 teams practice 3x per week from December to May at schools and private gyms throughout Edmonton. We do not currently know which days teams will be practicing.
- Teams will compete in Volleyball Alberta Premier and Provincial Tournaments in the Competitive Stream, and possibly other local one-day tournaments
- U14 and U15 Teams will compete at Volleyball Canada Nationals
