NOOKS Volleyball Club
Located in Edmonton, Alberta, NOOKS Volleyball Club is a non-profit club dedicated to providing the highest quality club experience. We offer each athlete the opportunity to reach their full potential as a volleyball player and a person as they train in a competitive and fun environment with dedicated, qualified coaches.
Respect In Sport Training Program
Together with Volleyball Alberta, The Respect Group has created an online portal for all registered clubs for the 2023 season where they can access and manage the Respect in Sport programs for their coaches, staff, parents and volunteers. When individuals register for one of the Respect in Sport programs, they will be able to select their club or organization from the Association drop-down menu and then will then be automatically linked with that club, as well as with Volleyball Alberta.
U15-18 Team info
- Open tryouts will be held at the completion of school season in late November or early December for teams that have not pre-signed their entire roster
- Letters of Intent may be offered to athletes from July 1-31 and may be signed from August 1-31. Athletes who are pre-signed will be posted on our team pages in September so that prospective athletes know how many positions remain for each U15-18 team.
- Tryout times and dates will be posted in November
- Teams practice 3x per week from December to May at schools and private gyms throughout Edmonton. We do not currently know what days each team will be training.
- Strength training/conditioning and positional clinics will be offered to our U15-18 teams throughout the season
- Teams will compete in Volleyball Alberta Premier and Provincial Tournaments in the Competitive Stream, and possibly other local one day tournaments
- Teams will compete at Volleyball Canada Nationals
U13 and U14 Team Info
- Open tryouts will be held at the completion of Junior High school season in late November or early December
- Tryout times and dates will be posted in November
- Teams practice 2x per week from December to May at schools and private gyms throughout Edmonton. We do not currently know which days teams will be practicing.
- Strength training/conditioning and positional clinics will be offered to our U13-14 teams throughout the season
- Teams will compete in Volleyball Alberta Premier and Provincial Tournaments in the Competitive Stream, and possibly other local one-day tournaments
- U14 Teams will compete at Volleyball Canada Nationals
