Maria grew up in Whitecourt where she developed her love for the game of volleyball.  She has played indoor and beach for many years, but when the opportunity presented itself to begin coaching in her senior year of high school, Maria jumped at the chance.  She has been an assistant coach for  grade 5/6 volleyball, junior girls and the Whitecourt REVZ U15 team and is excited to continue her coaching career with NOOKS.   Maria was inspired to coach because of the excellent coaching she received as a player.  Her desire is to inspire her athletes to be amazing individuals both on and off the court.   

Outside of the gym, Maria is an X-ray Tech at the Royal Alex.  She looks forward to taking on her role as the head coach for NOOKS U15 this season!
